The Night Before...
We will meet you and get you settled in before we leave you to have your own house party. The night before feel free to bring your own alcohol and any food. Perhaps take this time to relax and have a drink to start the celebrations in style or simply just reconnect with guests you haven't seen for awhile before the Big Day.
In our showstopper package choose from a drop off one pot meal or rustic sharing boards prepared by our chefs
Our Prop Shop
Chill in our Elephant courtyard or our fantastic thatched "Out of Africa" Breeze House with views over Northumbrian countryside
You can also use this time to put in your own finishing touches around the venue - help yourself to a vast array of items which are free to use from our Prop Shop. If you are looking for anything from log slices for a table centre to a letterbox where your guests can post their cards then we have it!
Pre ceremony
While you are adding finishing touches to your outfit or straightening up your buttonholes we will be welcoming your guests. The showstopper package includes a welcome Bellini or Mimosa as your guests arrive and the Trunk and Trowel bar is open for them to discover.

With a number of special spaces to hold your ceremony, personalise your day by choosing from our stunning Olive House or our picturesque terrace with amazing views overlooking our fabulous 100-acre estate and the stunning Northumberland countryside.
Dine with us
Enjoy your first meal as a married couple in the Orangery, or for larger weddings in the Tepee.
Our team offer a wide variety of dishes and help you design the perfect wedding breakfast for your guests. To complement your wedding breakfast we can supply quality wine from around the World or perhaps you have something specific in mind, just let us know.

Drinks Reception
The Elephant courtyard with its Mediterranean vibes is a fabulous area for a chilled-out drinks reception with live music playing in the background. Our outdoor spaces are perfect for mixing with guests and soaking up the summer sun. For the colder months make use of our library and casual lounge area with roaring fires and twinkling candles. Our stunning reception rooms will be a great backdrop to your special day. Your choice of canapes will be a sampler for your guests to whet their appetite prior to their wedding breakfast.
WOW – Woodhill on wheels our fabulous Piagio Ape will be a great talking point for serving chilled fizz and beer in the Elephant courtyard.
Evening Reception
A spectacular day flows into a magical evening. From sparkler entrances to our Tepees for cake cutting and the first dance. Our secret bar will keep the drinks flowing along with rustic late-night snacks to keep your guests celebrating all night long
Stay with us
Our countryside accommodation includes 16 luxurious bedrooms ranging from boutique boudoirs to a Shepards hut. The difficulty will be choosing which guest to put in each room.
The Morning after
An eleven am checkout allows your guests to enjoy our Northumbrian Breakfast, gather their items and say their goodbyes at their leisure.
But it’s not the end, we hope that you will keep in touch with us and come back and visit. We hold once every 12 month a tree planting event with tea and cake, it’s an opportunity for you to visit us and plant a tree in our wedding wood.
